I've only had the tamales from here, chicken tamale and also the rojas tamale, fresh and homemade.

Really good authentic mexican food, it's like your grandmas cooking...they have the best beef soup, and the tamales, the best...have to try everything they have on the menu.

Tried it twice but never again. The pastries all taste dry and stale. Even when purchased at 7:45 AM. Never tried the food so can't comment. There are definitely better Mexican bakeries in town.

Yummy sweets

While waiting for Edomasa to open, my boyfriend and I spotted the case full of baked goods and had to stop in. I drive past this place every day, and probably have for over a decade, and had never gone in. While we only had the sweets, the menu looked delicious and authentic. The woman at the counter was nice, and as others have forewarned, it's much easier to order in spanish. Lucky for my boyfriend I was there to help him order :) We will definitely be going back!

Great food

Amazing food, good service. Only thing suffering, is if you're a white guy like me, you might want to bring a translater. Otherwise, it's some of the best Mexican food you'll ever have

Best Mexican Bread by far!
Reviewer: Jacquie from Santa Barbara, CA
I have had Mexican bread all my life, and the ones I like are called "Conchas"(they look like shells)...And the Conchas at Daniel's are the softest sweetest ones I have ever had, and they seem to be baking them all day as they are always fresh. Love the bread! And the Tamales!!...Too die!

Just about everything I have tried here is good...chilaquiles, caldo de res, albondigas, costillitas with chile verde, even the regular plain carne asada tacos are delicious. Everything comes with homemade corn tortillas. Great prices too. Not much seating space and not the most coziest but will do for a quick bite or To Go.

Awesome food, but need to go in with a spanish speaker

I had a dish that consisted of pork with green salsa, it came with corn homemade tortillas. This place is good. The food is delicious, but I had a difficult time communicating with the cashier.

Good food for takeout

They have pretty good food there, the tamales were some of the best I have ever had. They have pastries too. Basically a neighborhood Mexican bakery w/entree items. Negatives are parking and they did not have any salsa out but the tamales were so good they did not need it! People were nice. More of a Hispanic customer place.

Not just baked goods...terrific mexican food too!

We live really close to Daniels and noticed that they have changed from just a bakery to offering delicious Mexican food as well. You should definitely list them under Mexican Food in the guide. best quesadillas, freshly made tortillas, amazing pozole. Best kept secret spot in SB for fresh mexican food.

Best Mexican pastries in town!

Stopped by for the first time today to pick up a few pastries. It was just before closing time and the pastries still looked and tasted extremely fresh. Everything was light, flaky, and delicious! We'll definitely be back to try their main dishes.

It is a good place to eat

The tortillas are hand made, and all the food is delicious. I eat in this bakery really often because everything is always fresh. Moreover, employees that work there are always glad to help you. I really recomend this place, the menudo or barbacoa on weekends are great.
