Went therefor lunch with one of my kids this past Friday 6/27/14. Had not been there in some time. Excellent food, great service/friendly atmosphere and unbelievably low prices for huge burritos. What more could you ask for? We're already planning a return trip for next week. (No longer have to pine for the sadly departed Los Gallos which was much closer to my home, but Super Cuca's is well worth the travel.)

As a SB native I have tried them all. This is THE place to get the best Mexican. My favorite burrito in town, if not the country. To those that gave a negative on the burrito's, you should stick with Chipotle or Taco Bell because real Mexican food apparently isn't your dish. The Super Burrito is the BOMB! (Just make sure you get enough salsa for a bite to bite ratio)

Friendly service. Very tasty food. Plenty of choices. Huge portions for the hard working & very hungry. I always have to bring some home. You always leave happy, knowing you were well cared for.

I have been going to Super Cucas on the West Side since I was in Elementary school; they have the best burritos I have ever had! I could eat there food on a daily basis that is how good it is!

Sooo Good

I had a Combo Burrito with steak and it was Amazing. The veggies were great. The sour cream was light but still there. The cheese was gooey. I had to use a fork and knife for that thing. I'm soo glad I gave them a 2nd try. The first time I had a Carnita's Burrito and it was very dry. But this Burrito was the Best Ive had in town. How could I have never been here before in all my years living here?

Quick Service, Good Food

Great Burritos with squash and other vegetables mixed with the meat of your choice. Only ding is that their horchata and orange whip do not look like they are out as an all you can drink(unlike their IV rest.) though they did have all you can drink soda out. Mini (mostly Hispanic I think)Market attached to restaurant.

Westside Winner

One super burrito makes two meals - wonderful fresh flavors and the best, moistest, chewiest flour tortilla wrap in town and can't choose between the two salsa so I get both and mix them up. Flavor heaven. But the best treat in the have to have it catagory are the Super Nachos with the marinated pork - with cold, creamy horchatas to balance the hot and spicy with the cool and sweet. A flavor marriage made in heaven, but only Super Cuca's does it this well. Always friendly people at the counter.

Great Food

While visiting SB, a local friend took me and about 6 other friends to Super Cuca's. Most of us grew up in Carlsbad, CA and live on Mexican food. Super Cuca's had some of the best inexpensive mexican food I have ever had, period. The burritos were huge (like they used to have at Alberto's). The al pastor burrito is amazing. Whenever I am in the area I make sure to pick one up and the same goes for friends who drive through SB regularly.

I grew up in Coastal, North San Diego where we have great mexican food. I rate mexican food like wine, by the region, it gets better the further south you go in California with Imperial Valley being the Mecca, the best mix of great beef and good recipes. I have been on the Central Coast for 10 years and litterally stopped eating mexican food years ago unless I am south of L.A. Super Cuca's has restored my faith! It is easily the BEST mexican food north of L.A.

Worst ever Burrito

Visting from San Diego. My wife and I have been going to Chilango's on State St for years for the greatest ever burritos. On this visit we noticed it had been remodeled the menu changed and the prices higher so we were not sure about trying it this time. After reading all the great reviews on Cuca's we decided to try it after a morning bike ride. We ordered a combo chicken burrito and it was horrible. The chicken was hard, overcooked and dried out, the burrito greasy and tasteless. They have only one salsa which is green watery and tasteless. Never going back here.

The Food Is Super Good!
