Authentic Healthy Friendly Delicious
Reviewer: Ruralwannabe from Goleta, CA
I chose the first of a list of Bon Mi sandwiches. The meat was tender, the veggies and herbs farm fresh. The bread is unique in its fresh crispy crust, I wish that I could buy a loaf to take home. I can't wait to try a spring roll. Finally, a new restaurant in this part of town that isn't super expensive.

They get it --

I keep finding myself making excuses to go out to Goleta, and this is a new one (Red Pepper and Country Catering are others). Very nice people running this, and they have a handle on Banh Mi. When I complimented them on their bread -- it is great -- they told me they had worked and worked to get it right. Instantly gets onto my "Go To" list.

Great customer service

Dined here on a Sunday afternoon around 4 and it was moderately busy. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. I ordered a bowl of Pho with THE most tender meat I've ever had in a bowl of Pho ever! It was delicious, however, the broth wasn't nearly as flavorful as Noodle City's version. Prices were comparable to others in town.

Fresh and fast. Love the springs rolls and the sandwiches

Excellent service, fresh flavors, and good prices. I will go back.

Good find

I can't believe we were in the same restaurant as a previous reviewer. We've been here twice and the food was excellent as well as the service. I had Bun on Saturday. Instead of grilled chicken, it was like a chicken nugget. That is why I took off half a point. The shrimp was good and the pork was excellent. The Bon Mi are out of this world delicious. We'll be back!

BAD first experience.

We ate here the first opening week. I was very disappointed at the Banh Mi sandwiches and Bun Cha noodles. I had high hopes, but nothing I ordered looked or tasted authentic Vietnamese. In addition, they were small in serving sizes. I hope they improve their quality, customer service and get things worked out. Please fix the lighting situation. The restaurant is VERY dark. Also, put a sign in front or something to tell people to go order at the counter or to seat yourself. We and other guests walked in, waited at the front door...waiting for someone to seat us. And nobody did. Very confusing first impressions.

Very good initial experience

I had a good lunch experience here. Note I am not a Vietnamese food aficionado but I can report the food was fresh and very tasty and enjoyable. I had the rice noodles with pork and shrimp with Thai tea. The service was excellent and very prompt. I considered the price reasonable. I will certainly return again.
