Hole in the Wall Deli.
Reviewer: Glenn from Buellton
Good food here. They cure/smoke all their own meat. Sandwiches were really tasty. Some outdoor tables but that's it. Combo Bait shop inside, no ambience there. Good to go sandwiches. BBQ good. Been there a long time, very friendly people. Worth a try for a to go sandwich. Cash only, have ATM.

enjoyed the tri-tip

We sampled the tri-tip sandwiches, both in a crispy fresh roll and lettuce-wrapped...excellent and plenty. They're not cheap and come bare bones, so extras are extra. The guys making them were flexible and proud of their food. Also house-smoked turkey and pork. Where else but Carp do you get a deli, bait shop, and car wash wrapped up in one? Also discovered Earthquake flavor potato chips from California Chips in Oxnard. Story on bag said a small quake tipped the spices off a shelf; everything got mixed up; someone tasted it, liked it, and put it on a batch. A salty spicy treat that's now part of their line.

I tried the "Tri-tip" sandwich since I read so many good reviews. When I got my sandwich, it was more like a packaged roast beef sandwich that they sell in the refrigerated section at Albertson's. The amount of meat they put in was skimpy and tastless, I can't believe it was barbequed tri-tip.

Amazing Sandwhich!

I bjust got back from a 3 day stay in Carpinteria. I have vacationed in Carpinteria all of my life and had passed by Danny's Deli numerous times. My husband and I decided to finally give it a try and we were NOT let down! We both got the tri-tip sandwhich with bacon, lettuce, salsa, BBQ sauce, and avacado. DELICIOUS! The trip-tip was the best I have ever tasted and they load each sandwhich up with meat. All of the produce on the sandwhich was fresh and just as good as the meat was. We will be back and are looking forward to making Danny's Deli our new place to grab lunch at any time we are in town! The employees were friendly and wonderful as well!

worked there

My name is Thomas and I have worked with with Danny at his deli in the 80's. I have always told everyone this is where I learned how to make a mouthwatering T-Tip. Even though I cook them now for family and friends. They all know where to go when there in Carp.Danny's Deli

best veggie sandwich in Carp.
Reviewer: elaine from carp. ca
These sandwiches are stacked so high with deliciousness! The veggie sandwich is my favorite, but the club, the turkey & cranberry, or even the tri-tip are all wonderful, too. With a neat little patio, you can sit out and watch the world go by.

My favorite food in all of the world is the turkey, ham, and bacon club. perhaps the best club of my life was enjoyed from Danny's deli last week. Very nice woman behind the counter and she definitely took care of us! ps. to the guy from arkensas, Tri-Tip is primarily a California cut of meat. in other states and countries they call it all different things.

aka Killer Tri Tip.

Not a good value

The sandwiches must have been washed in hot water because they shrunk drastically! You´d be lucky to get 2 pieces of tri-tip on your sandwich and the guacamole is watery. If you like a BIG sandwich at a good price, this is not the place to go.

I knew this great kid that worked there, and I think his name was Steve, he made the best sandwiches ever. He was so smart about everything he did.Steve was such a great guy.Where is he now? But that Danny Kellogg was not that nice of a boss.
