Burgers & tacos...
Reviewer: Dale from Carpinteria, CA
Everytime we've gotten a burger it is cooked to death. The buns are soggy. The pictures on the wall don't look like anything I've every gotten. Tacos REALLY!?! The first month they were open, they were pretty good. Now they are horrible...with all the Mexican people who work there, I'm surprised they don't let management know that Carl's needs to figure out what a taco is along with the other "Mexican" food they serve!

Excellent service, first class, good food

Excellent service by the server at the ordering station. Professional and respectful. Also, notified the manager and supervisor, and corporate headquarters because great service must be recognized. Clean, delicious food, and friendly. Nice stop on the 101

Cholesterol Heaven

Admittedly, I'm a bit biased, working next door to the corporate office here in Carp. I occasionally get discount cards and coupons from the newspapers. Service is super, and the food is filling (Vegans may not be comfortable, however). They occasionally try out new recipes. The restaurant is always spotless and clean. This is the *best* Carl's Junior you’ll ever visit.

Good food, service a little slow
Reviewer: Bob from Santa Barbara, CA
Generally good, if pricey, food. Service a bit slow - I imagine it could be because food is made on demand so fresher? Quite a large selection of burgers, Mexican dishes. I especially like the asada burrito. Once in a while I get a person at the counter who is rude and/or careless - a bit surprising since this is Carl's premier store - their corporate HQ is here in Carp.

Good Food, quick stop off the 101 but bathrooms bad
Reviewer: Glenn from Buellton
Food was good and the inside was modern looking and the servers were nice but the issue I have with this place is the small size of the bathrooms and the uncleanliness of them, for such a well kept and modern eating area the bathrooms were really subpar and already had gang signs carved into the toilet seat and toilet seat stall door gave no privacy. If they went to all the trouble of making a great modern looking place then why did they skimp on the bathrooms which is one reason people would stop here in the first place on the 101? So if not a local I would recommend stopping on Casitas Pass Road over this place which has a lot of places to choose from(see listings for Casitas Pass Road).

I headed on over to this new Carl's Jr and left a little uneasy. A long wait time for a chilli cheese burger that gave off the odor of something unmentionable. When I noticed the Oreo shake that I ordered was not in my to-go bag I noticed my receipt was not among the dollar bills the cashier handed me. When I brought this to another cashier's attention I watched as an employee lugged a gallon of milk over to the shake machine to make what I would soon discover to be little more than chocolate chip water.

Best Carl's Jr. I've been to

I drove by this location as it was under construction. Finally they finished and I promptly headed in. Very clean. Friendly staff. My order was delivered to my table with care. The burger was excellent. The stars were equally good.
