Atmosphere: Small cafe style Mexican eatery. A small room where you can eat inside and a large patio area for outdoor eating. I asked the man "que signifca with the name? And I think the name is a reference to a passage in the old testament. Service: You order from the counter and then it is delivered to your table. Service can be hit and miss. I've ordered the same meal and it has taken 10 minutes sometimes a lot longer. Food/drink: I order a pastor taco and beans and rice. Sometimes you get a complimentary carton of chips, sometimes not. When you get it, it is served with a delicious mole (Sweet) sauce. It is good fare. Not super cheap but not expensive. Today i went there and was served cold beans, room temp rice and taco okay. I knew it was time to find another place. Summary: Romanti Ezer is a good place if you are downtown and want a quick taco or burrito. Do I think it is the most tasty Mexican place? No but it will do if you have a few bucks and need a late night bite.

This is the second time I've gotten takeout from Romanti-Ezer, and both times it has been delicious! Excellent mole sauce, and super tasty veggie burritos. I'm surprised at the negative reviews. They do charge .50 cents for takeout and there's only one cashier so you may have to wait a few minutes, but the food is worth it!

Mexican Pupusas???
Reviewer: Eric from Santa Barbara, CA
Sorry, I ordered pupusas and they were not even close what a pupusa should taste like. First, you dont make pupusas with pork skin or with carnitas. The "curtido" did not look or taste like the real thing. By the way, pupusas are Salvadorean no Mexican. Sorry, but they are not real pupusas! I had to order a chicken burrito and it was good.

Your order is almost ready... still waiting
Reviewer: Andres from Santa Barbara, CA
I have only gone twice and both time I have waited over 30 minutes for my food. Really bad customer service and it seemed that they were always bothered with their customers. I was able to get a couple of quotes for cars across the street and by the time I came back I waited like 20 minutes for my food. Very slow service and bad customer service. Never going back their again. Wouldn't recommended it, Para acabarla de Chigar Me Pego Chorro.

Headline: Good Mole' Found in SB !!!
Reviewer: Krista and Tony from Goleta, CA
For years I've been going to Ventura for really good mole' but recently I had the chance to try the mole' at Romanti-Ezer. Very good mole'! Perhaps not up to the standard set by Maria Bonita but very good none-the-less. I had the Moletadas (or something like that), which are essentially enchiladas with mole' sauce instead of enchilada sauce. Make no mistake, you've really got to like mole' to order these because that's all you're going to taste but for me that was just fine. The R-E mole' is a brown/red mole'(might be mole' poblano but I didn't ask), as opposed to the mole' negro some others serve. Its reasonably spicy with just a bit of sweetness, a great balance. I don't know what their standard fare is like but I will certainly stick with the mole', theres really no reason to go for anything else. T

You must be drunk to enjoy this place!

My husband and I decided to eat some late night Mexican food after being on the road for a while, we were excited to find out this place closed late on the weekends but were very disappointed with the over priced food and service. I ordered a carne asada torta and the meat was very chewy, their horchata was not only too sweet but had way to much cinnamon, and to top it all off they didn't even call our number or anything to let us know our food was ready. Last but not least food is over priced!

fixed the hours, fixed the food
Reviewer: Chris C from Santa Barbara, CA
Romanti-Ezer is back to rational (if complicated) hours - 9 to 8 M-W, 9 to 9 other days plus 10 to 3am Th, Fri, Sat. So it's possible to get dinner there any day, and late night nibbles on party nights. Better news is that they're also back to the old menu with mole chips, fried whole tilapia, and all the other tasty regional Mexican dishes plus tacos and specials. It's not fast food, so a little patience is well-rewarded by flavor and careful service.

Not good enough
Reviewer: jack from Santa Barbara, CA
The first time we went to this place we ordered a few different things from the menu, and the other week I got a breakfast burrito... The service is slow as all heck, I mean both times I've been there it has taken like 25 minutes AND there is no one else there! I have the only order in the kitchen. I don't know what all the rave is I think some people just like the idea of places off the beaten path... food didn't do it for me at all...mediocre to average.

Good food, slow service
Reviewer: Daniel from Santa Barbara, CA
Let me start out by saying that I LOVE this place. Everything I've ever gotten has been delicious. That said, they might have the slowest service I have ever encountered. If you sit on the patio, you'll spend at least an hour there, even if you're the only one. It's not just the food that's slow. I've had to wait 20 minutes after I've finished my food just to get the check. I'll keep going back because their food is great but I just wish they'd quicken the pace!

Standard Mexican Take Out Stand with Outdoor Seating
Reviewer: Glenn from Buellton
This place is like an El Sitio. Standard Mexican fare here that you can find at similar places along Milpas and elsewhere in town. They have a lot of outdoor seating, no indoor. Local discount place. Fairly cheap and the food fairly good.

Reviewer: Mike from Santa Barbara, CA
I know of another little shack in town, on a corner, that started out humbly. This place has the same potential, it is that good, if not better. Delicious food that is obviously made fresh to order. All with a different twist that makes this place unique and special.
