rude and not so smart server
Reviewer: Mike from Santa Barbara, CA
So I go in with a 2-for-1 coupon. The server doesn't really know what's going on with it, but agrees it's 2 for 1 on a single item. So I order 2 6-piece mcnuggets, cost $3.55. I give him $20. He gives me $3.55 back. I tell him he gave me what I paid, not the correct change. Nicely! He seems flustered, and gives me $13.35 back. Maybe he thought one of the ones was a five. That would almost add up. I had it back and nicely say it's not right, he looks at me like I'm scamming him. I suggest counting it out. He is glaring at me by now, and I swear I'm being nice the whole time. Then he gives me $16.35, slaps it in my hand. By now I'm not happy about his crappy attitude, and tell him he owes me 10 cents. He give me 10 cents more, hands me my bag and yells "next". I walk away with the correct change finally, but of course there is no 2-for-1, just one box of 6 nuggets and the fries. I didn't bother going back. Oh yeah, they were really not busy all this time so it wasn't crazy in there.

Very ride manager female 10/26/2014. @7pm she mAde up her ow
Reviewer: Katherine from Santa Barbara, CA
Very rude female manager.10/26/14 @7pm She made up her own rule and when another customer came in with same request she changed the rules again. Who does that?! McDonald doesn't make up rules as they go. She had a very smart attitude when we asked questions. No owner would treat their customers as nasty as she has so why would a simple manager .don't they know what CUSTOMER SERVICE is.. Also won in the monopoly a free fries and she said I had to wait 2 hrs to use it..what!!

Mc homeless shelter
Reviewer: Mark from Santa Barbara, CA
This mcshelter is straight up nasty. Can't find a seat. The homeless spend all day there. Outside, you get begged for money. This Mac is lost, and hopeless. Some fool paid TONS of money for this franchise, and let it get this Terrible?

Sausage biscuits
Reviewer: Bing Tavern from Santa Barbara, CA
The sausage biscuits are half the time hard. You come in and order and have to chance they are hard, after all its bread. The sausage is good though. If you are going to give a review then it should be frank. It should not be softened up to accomodate rules of negativity. It should be the facts.

Manager was disrespectful at closing
Reviewer: Rick from Santa Barbara, CA
At closing time the lights were turned out and customers were asked to leave. The manager was rude to people who just received their food and sat down. Teens in the store were even asking for decent customer service Yes, close the store yet wait a few minutes for people to leave. It is only common courtesy. Manager started yelling eventually. Seems like he really lost it.

Poor Food and Service
Reviewer: Glenn from Buellton
The food is McD's,nuff said. The wait was long. Solution go next door to Quiznos where the wait is 1/2 the time and the food is 2x as better! Their "premium" sandwich was not as good as an average Quiznos one and nothing fried!

No Senior Discounts......EVER!
Reviewer: Bob from Santa Barbara, CA
Hey, folks, it's not just here in SB, but all over the country! McDonalds corporation has decided that since the economy is so bad, they need to get a few extra million by charging double the price for a small coffee. They figure that they were losing so much money giving seniors a discount (the most successful corporation of all time, next to Kentucy fried chicken)! I really hope that seniors all over the country stop going to McDonalds, and would become patrons of some of the other fast food places that still do offer seniors a discount! Funny thing, just 3 weeks ago, Der Weinerschiel had decided to add "senior coffee" to their breakfast menu!!!! Perhaps they knew that McDonalds was going to loose a ton of their senior crowd, and wanted to cash in on McDonalds short-sightedness! Hey, McDonalds: There are more people OVER 50, and UNDER 15 in this country, at this moment, so get ready for a real big financial drop in your monthly income!

Monday $1.50 Big Mac and $1 fries = lunch for under $3.00
Reviewer: Mike from Santa Barbara, CA
It was good...what more can I say? Shoot me for loving a decent cheap lunch!

Reviewer: Tom from downtown SB
This McD's restaurant, due to its location, is often frequented by homeless people. They stand out front begging for change, they bring huge rolling suitcases into the often-packed restaurant, and they hang out for hours, nauseating people with their body odors. It is only natural that the owner of this location would not want to further discount coffee, even for seniors (yes, there are old bums out there). It is an unfortunate commentary on the neighborhood in which we live, but things like no water dispenser, no senior coffees and token operated bathrooms seem to be necessary to try to contol what seems to be an uncontrollable problem. One thing you can do to address this issue is STOP GIVING HOMELESS PEOPLE MONEY! That said, the only reason I go in there is to use the pisser; there are too many other dining options in the neighborhood.

I just can't believe that for the last 6 years I have been getting senior coffee at all the McDonald's locations from San Francisco to San Diego, this Santa Barbara location does not serve it!! Do you folks only serve to the filthy rich who can pay at any price or do you not believe that seniors exist in your town? What is the problem??

Communication problem
Reviewer: BC from SB, CA
Perhaps the reason that the last poster had so many problems was an inability to communicate. There are so many errors in the post that I have to wonder where the real problem was. If the cashier kept telling you the wrong price, why would you pay it and then be surprised you got the wrong thing? That McDonalds is the best place to get cheap food in the area.
