Reader Brendan sent me a message that a “change of ownership” alcohol license sign has appeared in the window of Savoy Cafe at 24 West Figueroa Street. I called the business who confirmed that there was a change of ownership and that the restaurant will remain very similar to the eatery that locals know and love.

Love the Savoy but need dinner hours until at least 8 pm.
The Savoy Cafe has such a great salad bar filled with fresh, healthy and delicious choices. Also their Huevos Rancheros are amazing…. along with the best carrot cake, and cookies.
Hope it keeps its charm. I don’t go there as much since they’re no longer open for dinner but I always love the vibe there. Part of that was the family that ran it, so hopefully the new owners will find a way to preserve that feeling.
