I am hearing that a current restaurant in town is planning to relocate to 2984 State Street, the former home of Pueblo Pollo and El Pollo Loco. Pueblo Pollo moved to Isla Vista last year then, sadly, closed last month.

I don’t yet know which eatery that the rumor is referring to. I stopped by 2984 State Street and there is a lot of construction going on. As always, this rumor might be completely false or a brilliant forecast of future events. Your call.

Update: I am now hearing that they are just fixing plumbing at this point and that no lease has been signed with a new tenant.
