Reader Paris tells me that Elena’s Kitchen, which opened in December 2022 at 738 State Street (formerly Kai Sushi), has closed. The phone number is disconnected and a message has been posted in the window about unpaid rent.

Is the landlord a 3rd grader?
I had wondered what was up there. For several weeks I noticed they were closed during times when I’d expect them to be open. They did seem to be open occasionally but not regular hours. I only went once or twice but the food was pretty good and reasonably priced with friendly service.
