PIZZA MIZZA REOPENS

A Santa Barbara tradition is back, as they say. You probably remember Pizza Mizza, formerly located at La Cumbre Plaza until it closed on October 16, 2018. Well, after a 5 year vacation, they have re-opened in a new downtown location next to the turtle pond in La Arcada Plaza, 1114 State Street. “We have built a beautiful arcade to host birthday parties, family events or to simply have some fun,” says the business. “Same great food that you loved and remembered. Join us for delicious pizza, pasta, salads and sandwiches. Enjoy our craft beer and drink selections. Bring the whole family and enjoy our kid friendly environment and arcade.” Call (805) 564 3900 or visit pizzamizza.com.

Don’t they run Mizza out in State? Does this mean they’re closing that location?

Yes, they do run mizza as well so sounds kind of similar to each other. I think they’re trying to promote the arcade, but for all of us long time locals, we all miss the Acapulco. No restaurant has been successful since the Acapulco so I think they’re trying to rebrand…again.

Mizza, 1114, BogoSB, and Delivery SB. All the same place.

We heard about this on Instagram on Friday and went for dinner Saturday night, so happy to have this great family option back in town! Food was excellent, they are working things out on the service side so be patient, but as someone who lived near the OG location and had little kids when they closed, we have been missing this option since they closed. This location has been a black hole since the Acapulco days, hope Pizza Mizza 2.0 can make it work.
