[Updated] Bedda Mia Italian restaurant at 1218 State Street suspended operations “temporarily” last month and posted a sign on the window that they will reopen this week. Reader Steve H. offers an update: “Bedda Mia, the Sicilian restaurant next to the Granada, appears to be closed. For lease sign has appeared. I’ll try to confirm later.” Cuisine at Bedda Mia was strictly Sicilian, with an emphasis on seafood and fresh produce-based dishes and Sicilian wine. The eatery, which opened in February 2022, was located in the former home of Mollie’s, Tupelo Junction Cafe, and Marcello Ristorante, among others.
