MONTECITO MESA BURGER CLOSES

This just in from Chris Chiarappa, co-founder of Mesa Burger:

Restaurant Guy,

It is with an extremely heavy heart that we are announcing the permanent closure of our Montecito location. We will be forever grateful to all our wonderful guests and the entire Montecito community for their gracious support. We will miss you!

To our amazing, dedicated and cherished staff, we are beyond thankful for all your hard work and dedication!

As Mesa Burger looks to the future, we are very excited to see what lies ahead for our desired continued expansion. In the meantime, and always, we greatly appreciate your continued support of our Mesa and Goleta locations!

THANK YOU MONTECITO!

Sincerely,
Mesa Burger

What happened? We we regulars and it was always busy.

We used to drive to the Mesa before you opened here, and we were so glad when you came.
    We will miss you.

    But I can’t understand why.

Noticed a “Change of Ownership Transfer” by the Alcohol Beverage Control Board in the window this morning.
As for the Mesa Burger closing after being only being open for (maybe) 2 years, I’d bet it was the high rent that caused them to depart. Probably will be replaced by some overpriced L.A. eatery…
