SAIGON IN FIVE POINTS MOVING TO CHAPALA

This just in from reader Roger:

Five Points update:
1) The sign for La Salsa has now been REMOVED. Paper sign in the window says GRACIAS. It doesn’t look like La Salsa is reopening.
2) Nearby at Saigon Vietnamese Restaurant, a sign indicates that they will be moving on August 30, to Chapala Street.

Reader Brendan adds:

Interesting. On their website their address is now listed as 721 Chapala, which is the address of Sachi Ramen (which I believe has the same owner). Wonder if that means Sachi Ramen is disappearing?

    Restaurant exodus from Five Points.

I wonder what the plans are since most of the space on that side of the parking lot will be empty. Are they trying to get something large to move it or are they just greedy and the restaurants have bailed or both? Although it will result in easier parking in that lot, but those restaurants were my destination most of the times I went to five points.

Greed likely. It’s the US empire.
