Hi John,
I have a question for your readers. I’m trying to recall the name of the ice cream parlor that was on Anapamu between State and Chapala in the 1980s. If I remember correctly, the name started with an “L” and was a popular evening spot to meet friends. Thanks,
Ted

Swenson’s/Swensen’s is the only thing i could come up with.
actually i was wrong about Swenson’s. that was at 3343 State. my wife guess is Bernardo’s ice cream?
Bernardos was in IV and on the wharf. This was more of a sit down ice cream parlor. I could be totally wrong, but I don’t think so. It’s been bugging me for a couple years now. Google hasn’t been much help either. I’m hoping someone remembers.
the place was where Tony Roma’s was i believe. 26 W Anapamu. i can’t remember if before or after Tony Roma’s.
Yes! That’s the spot I’m thinking.
Yes, that is the location, and I do remember an ice cream place fairly briefly, It was very brightly lit, but don’t remember the name either. I remember 26 West, Tony Roma’s, and Cuvee.
It was called Leatherby’s
