Sazon Latino restaurant opens on the west side

A new Mexican restaurant has opened on the west side at 1417 San Andres Street, the former home of Su Casa. Sazon Latino, a spinoff from Sazon Latino Catering, will have a ribbon cutting ceremony and celebration on Wednesday, April 28th from 5-8 p.m.

“I grew up in the kitchen helping my mom cook and have over the years worked at several different hotels and restaurants,” says owner/chef Omar Mozqueda. “I always dreamed of opening my own restaurant and like many businesses Sazon Latino Catering was born during the pandemic. After a couple years my good friend Roberto Mendoza and I decided to team up and open Sazon Latino Restaurant. With his knowledge in meats and my passion for cooking we created a menu based on what we know best, Mexican food and more.”

Sazon Latino is open daily from 7 a.m. – 9 p.m. Call (805) 722-7721
