Reader Thorn let me know that Montecito Deli & market has reopened as of today. I am told it had been closed for awhile new owner Gene Montesano did some upgrades.

an authentic JEWISH NY DELI…similar to Nate’n Al’s, Langer’s in LA….
offering REAL JEWISH RYE BREAD,
Thick thinly sliced HOT PASTRAMI, CORNED BEEF & BRISKET SANDWICHES, POTATO KNISHES, etc…
very badly needed in SB/Montecito area,
we have a plethora of wonderful Italian restaurants here…there will be a line around the block for those of us that have had to to rely on GoldBelly to satisfy our cravings…Good luck & God Speed!
I was the previous owner for 20 years and had a great run! It was time to retire 25 years as a butcher and 20 years at the deli my pride and joy!! I know the new owners will do a fabulous job! Jeffrey Rypysc former owner good luck!
