The Lark Debuts Weekend Brunch

Since The Lark’s opening in 2013 at 131 Anacapa Street, guests have long-awaited a contemporary brunch in the Funk Zone. At last, Executive Chef Jason Paluska, along with the team at The Lark, announces the launch of weekend brunch, beginning Saturday, March 26, 2022, and continuing every Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Menu highlights include West Coast Oysters on the Half Shell with Bloody Mary Granita, Finger Lime & Celery; Di Stefano Burrata & Ventura Strawberries with Shaved Rhubarb, Hazelnut, Saba & Olive Oil Crostini; Carpinteria Avocado Tartine on Grilled Helena Avenue Bakery Sourdough with Sieved Egg, Watermelon Radish, Pecorino & Nasturtium; Black Sesame Granola & Whipped Greek Yogurt with Wildflower Honey, Blackberry, Lemon Zest & Mint; Duroc Pork Belly Benedict with Grilled Jalapeno Hollandaise, Soft Poached Egg, Toasted Brioche & Tarragon; Cajun-Spiced Grilled Shrimp & Southern Grits with Pickled Celery, Fresno Chile & Scallion; Farmer’s Market Organic Egg Frittata with Tutti Frutti Sugar Snap Peas, Maitake Mushrooms, Pecan Romesco, French Brie & Pea Tendrils; Cast Iron-Baked Organic Eggs with Bianco Tomato, Castelvetrano Olives, Fresno Chile, Sheep’s Milk Feta & Grilled Baguette and Chef Jason’s Southern Fried Chicken & Belgian Waffle with Sambal Honey Butter & Sherry-Maple Gastrique. The Lark’s brunch dishes are designed For the Table and easy to share.

Make sure to include The Lark’s House Baked Provisions of Buttermilk Biscuit & Salted Honey Butter; Meyer Lemon Poppy Seed Muffins; Strawberry Pink Peppercorn “Pop Tart;” Cast Iron Pecan-Caramel Sticky Buns; Croissant with Rosemary-Blueberry Jam & Salted Butter; and Niman Ranch Ham & Gruyere Croissant.

Bar Manager Maximilian Hill and Bar Lead Natalia Farfan, along with The Lark’s Bar Team, have created a list of day-drinking cocktails that complement the brunch menu – Social Briar’s gin fizz with cutler’s gin, huckleberry jam & lemon; The Other Train margarita with del maguey mezcal, Montenegro lime, orange & agave; The Marauder bloody mary with Cutler’s vodka, heirloom green tomato & tomatillo & house spices; Sunset Jones whiskey smash with rye, yellow chartreuse & lemon; The Gambler old fashioned with bourbon, cold brew, chocolate & angostura bitters; and Azure Skies collins with cilantro-infused cutler’s vodka, mango & lemon.
