La Paloma Mezcal Tasting Dinner Event

In collaboration with Executive Chef Jeremy Tummel and Agua Del Sol Destilados de Agave, La Paloma Cafe at 702 Anacapa Street presents an exclusive five-course paired Mezcal dinner. Mezcal is a distilled alcoholic beverage made from any type of maguey. The evening will be guided by La Paloma’s Mezcal expert Jorge Báez who will share the stories and techniques behind a hand-picked selection of complex Mezcals at this intimate event.

The enu includes AVOCADO GAZPACHO (local crab, smoked creme fraiche, chayote squash, tempura cilantro with corn tortilla paired with Mexicano, AHI + AJI CEVICHE
(amarillo pepper, local citrus, ninja radish, crispy quinoa, taro chips
paired with Bicuishe), MASA ÑOQUIS SANTA BARBARA UNI (pea tendrils, preserved meyer lemon vinaigrette, cured egg yolk paired with Tobasiche), GAUCHO STEAK RED OAK GRILLED RIBEYE (yukon gold & horseradish, rainbow carrots, bacon chimichurri
paired with Espadin), and FLAN DE LA CASA (kumquat mezcal syrup, crispy buenelo
paired with specialty cocktail “Amaro Meets Mezcal”)
