Courthouse Tavern to open during Fiesta

The Courthouse Tavern, coming to 129 East Anapamu Street (formerly The Little Door, Piano Riviera Lounge, The French Table, and Elements Restaurant & Bar), was originally scheduled to open June 15th and it now appears that the business will launch on August 4th. “We will be opening for Fiesta next week and then opening gradually the following week for lunch then breakfast then dinner,” says owner Warren Butler. “Looking forward to hosting friends and visitors in a friendly neighborhood restaurant and bar atmosphere.” Courthouse Tavern will be serving American cuisine and will have Happy Hour all day with drink specials and small plates. The eatery will also be available for private parties and catering.

Happy for Warren. I’m sure that this will be a great spot! Looking forward to stopping by.

That’s a busy weekend to be opening and working out new team issues. Yikes.

    What Fiesta?

At some point, that location should be converted into office space. It just isn’t a great spot for a resturant.

Happily… I disagree. Great spot for the right concept and operator. One of the most iconic views and locations in Santa Barbara.

We wanted to like the new place so badly but it is terrible. I give it 3months max. Food is bland, options are boring. Decor is bland, drinks are bland, the entire place is a mishap. No way they survive selling crappy tacos and burgers. There is nothing on the menu worthy of a trip. Nothing. While the location is great, the food and the style of this particular restaurant is a 3/10. Another fail…
