I don’t think it’s a good idea or the right time to open a shared space like this. We need some good restaurants with great operators that know what they are doing so they are able to stick around. I hate to see people invest their life savings on a business when they are not experts. I would say don’t take on such a big project.
Are you kidding?! They couldn’t have picked a worse time to start a venture like this.
look at the public market…not a complete failure but close,,,this will bomb big time..and the overhead with employees picking up trash, stocking the restrooms etc will kill this even faster.
So they are going to rent spaces month to month? You need long term lessees to make this work.
Rambo you make a good point if the Santa Barbara public market is not doing very well the chances of a smaller but simular type kitchen sharing operation doesn’t seem like a solid plan.
I wish everyone the best but please exercise better judgement when making such costly decisions.
Ambitious! I can’t presume to predict their success or the actual success of the Public Market as I dont have access to their financials.
If state street becomes a promenade who knows how that will affect success.
Very appreciative of the economic activity. 23 kitchens and a restaurant that construction is great for our local economy.
