Reader Bruce spotted signs for Teru Japanese Cuisine at 1305 State Street, the former home of Roost and Downey’s. The new sushi restaurant is owned by Teruhisa Ogue, the long time chef at Sakana, 1046 Coast Village Road in Montecito, and his wife Ellie Chan.
