Like many dining establishments, the Treehouse Restaurant at 3860 State Street, closed their doors last April when new COVID-19 rules went into effect. Periodically I called the Pepper Tree Inn, where Treehouse leased space, to find out the status, and was told that the hotel had no information about what was happening. I called today and received confirmation that the eatery closed permanently.

I’m sorry to hear this. They had the BEST guacamole burger and chili size there. They were a tad pricey, but you got lots o’ food and it was delicious.
Hid in the twig many a time. Im sure there will be a new operator at some point.
This is too bad. The full kitchen is completely equipped for a top notch comfort food restaurant.
So sad. The food was consistently good and prices reasonable.
Sorry for folks staying at the Pepper Tree
Best fried chicken in town and loved the twig room. We will miss it.
Sad, that’s what happens in unfettered, winner take all capitalism with little to no safety nets for the people.
