Reader Mimi said she heard a rumor that the Funk Zone’s Brass Bear Brewing & Bistro was opening a second location on De la Vina Street near Cajun Kitchen. I spoke with owner Seth Anderson who tells me that they were looking there at one time, and a few other places, for a second location before Covid but that search is now on pause for a while. Anderson also tells me that they have greatly expanded their current location to include an outdoor beer garden with lots of tents, tables, and chairs. I’m told that Brass Bear is now one of the biggest spots in the Funk Zone.
