Montecito’s Village Cheese & Wine Store (VC&W) at 1485 E Valley Road remains in business providing essential food and groceries to the community through its newly launched online ordering and delivery platform. VC&W’s experience working with local political and law enforcement to remain open during the Thomas Fire and 2018 mudslides feeding first responders and marooned residents provide an essential roadmap for navigating the COVID-19 Pandemic. The Online Ordering & Delivery Menu assures contactless pickup and delivery and offers gourmet charcuterie breakfast sandwiches, avocado toast, gourmet lunch sandwiches made “famous” by John Braid featuring premium and exotic charcuterie meats and cheeses, as well as locally roasted coffee & Santa Barbara County wine.
Patrick Braid, founder & CEO of Montecito Brands & Village Cheese & Wine said that in addition to the current menu, the restaurant is developing and will soon be launching weekly pre-order “DeliBox Essentials” of freshly sliced meats, cheeses, freshly baked local bread and produce for people and families who want an alternative to the grocery store and big-box retail shopping. DeliBox Essentials will be available through online ordering and weekly contactless pickup or delivery in the coming days.
Das Williams, First District Supervisor of Santa Barbara who was instrumental in providing Braid unfettered access to the shop and essential grocery supplies from Vons during the 2018 Debris Flow, had a message of support for the company’s new online ordering platform, “Many local businesses are struggling during this crisis, curbside and delivery services are a great option to protect themselves but still get quality meals, so shop local!!!”
