The Nugget reopening

The Nugget restaurant is opening back up after being closed since March 15th. The Nugget at 5687 Calle Real in Goleta is opening May 1 and the Summerland location will follow soon after. I have posted their new take-out menu online.

Here is an announcement about the reopening:

We here at The Nugget have always valued our Guests experience and are proud to serve you and our community while we all endeavor through these times of changing requirements. As a precaution we closed our doors for a short while and plan on reopening the Goleta Nugget May 1st with the Summerland to follow soon after.

The recent COVID-19 pandemic has been a shock to our lives, and we at The Nugget want you to know that we are putting our people, our guests and our communities first.

We will continue to remain agile and assess the situation as new details become available. Thank you to all of our guests, and a very big thank you to all of our employees for your patience during a very difficult time.

We have changed many of the ways we do business due to COVID-19:

  • All of our dining rooms are closed
  • Transitioned to-go only
  • Offering a limited menu
  • Providing beer, wine and cocktails in to go packages
  • Maintaining social distancing with our employees and guests
  • Requiring all team members to use masks and gloves

We take great pride in our clean and well-run restaurants, and this is now more important than ever. In addition to our daily cleaning procedures, we have increased our already-strict routines significantly. We have reviewed all our sanitation procedures and have updated them accordingly.

We are following the CDC closely and taking their guidance on all relevant issues. Currently, they recommend regular  sanitizing and hand washing as one of the most important preventative measures. As the CDC updates their recommendations, we will change our processes quickly.

We want to thank all our Nugget guests and employees.
