Reader Maria heard a rumor that Dave’s Dogs at 149 South Turnpike Road in Goleta is planning top open a new location, supposedly near Milpas and Cannon Perdido Streets. If this rumor is true, could Dave be taking over the former location of Sal’s Pizza? Reader Eric says he drove past the old Sal’s about a week ago and saw Dave standing out front on his phone as construction crews were inside.
