HIGH SIERRA CLOSES

A couple of weeks ago I reported that Flightline restaurant / High Sierra Grill at 521 Firestone Road was officially closed for a “few days.” Manager Warren Butler now tells me that the eateries are closed permanently. “Airport/City of SB did not allow the lease to be assigned to Flightline,” says Butler.

Disgusting display of government overreach. So now an empty spot for what a year, 2 who knows. The person in charge of this decision should be fired. This was a local person trying to bring REASONABLE priced food back to Goleta.

Back door deal? How? Many restaurants operate and cater from the same facility seems like smart businessto me. How else will a space that size survive?
