The restaurant Viva Santa Barbara opened in July 2016 inside La Arcada Court at 1114 State Street, the former home of Cielito, Stateside, and Acapulco. Viva continues to be open daily as usual, serving modern Mexican cuisine to hungry locals and tourists alike. Big changes will be occurring in September, however. The restaurant is in the process of remodeling and rebranding, and will relaunch as a pub named Eleven Fourteen sometime next month. Where Viva currently offers a menu from south of the border, Eleven Fourteen will be adding (or possibly changing to) American cuisine including burgers. Thanks to reader Sunny for the tip!
