Hey John,
Just noticed there was some construction going on in the former home of Carrows, and Denny’s at 5677 Calle Real in Goleta. Any word on what may pop up there?

I am guessing that the property owner is just enhancing the building to attract a renter based on the fact that there is still a for-lease sign up. Of course I could be totally wrong and the ball might be rolling already for a new occupancy. I spoke to the real estate agent mentioned on the sign and he couldn’t tell me anything, which is understandable.

It would be nice if they filled the old Outback Steakhouse. That being said, there is a nice mix of restaurants in that area.

    Bring back Sizzler!

Wood Ranch and Santa Barbara seems like a match made in heaven, i’m still surprised they haven’t been an effort to find a location in the greater SB area.

Wood Ranch is a GREAT idea! I go to the one in Ventura all the time, sometimes with a craving just for their bread. Wood Ranch would be a wonderful addition to the community.

Maybe just maybe we have too many restaurant options on Calle Real and Santa Barbara in general?

Coast Glass on Magnolia in Old Goleta has vacated that location. Sign on window says it’s new location will be 5677 Calle Real ,which is the former Dennys location now under construction.
