I’m not interested in trying out some restaurant that posts a public sign pointing fingers at the City for requiring fire safety. What’s next, point fingers at a food inspector for requiring cleanliness?

I think the point was not that they don’t want to have fire sprinklers but that the city won’t send somebody around to inspect (or whatever the government employee has to do) for a couple of weeks. That means the business is missing out on a potentially lucrative time of year.

Our city is pretty business UNfriendly. With the number of vacancies downtown, the city should be working much harder to help businesses complete final inspections very quickly. Unfortunately there is no motivation for government employees to provide good customer service and frankly I doubt there will ever be.
