Readers tell me that Lighthouse Coffee has replaced Good Cup at 1819 Cliff Drive. I’m told that the space is fully modernized but many of the familiar faces from Good Cup are still working there.

Reader Cris says that a new “we’re hiring” banner went up in front of Vicenta’s, coming to Camino Real Marketplace next to Jane. It looks like they are getting close to opening.
Carpinteria institution Sly’s restaurant at 686 Linden Avenue closed on September 23rd. Sly’s open in August 2008. Reader Julia says that a new restaurant with a different format will be replacing it in the near future.
