Yelp is listing Cadiz restaurant at 509 State Street as “closed” and reservations are no longer available on Open Table. Readers tell me that Cadiz has been closed when they have walked by during business hours. Reliable sources tell me Cadiz is closed permanently. My messages to ownership have not been returned so I have not received direct confirmation. Their web site suggests the restaurant is open for business as usual. Cadiz opened in March 2011.

    Funk Zone kills another

I wouldn’t blame the FZ. Cadiz never seemed to have a lot of customers and I never had anyone tell me it was a great place. I ate there once and it was just average (IMHO)

With the emergence of Finnes and the funk zone Lower State will take a beating. Between Victoria, the funk zone and State below the freeway we dont go downtown much anymore. All good the free market is the American way.

How do I get gift card money back? I bought my wife a gift card for her birthday. Is there any way to get it back?
