Readers Bernie and Primetime tell me that an eatery named Mundos is coming to 901 North Milpas Street, famously adorned with a cow on the roof, and the former home of Sublime, Cities Barbecue, and City Kitchen. A three-story, 50-unit apartment project is also scheduled to come to that area though I don’t know if it includes the actual building with the sacred cow. Previously I reported that Old Skool Cafe was coming here.

Wishing Mundos well… but there have been long odds at that location.

    Indeed, Chaz.

The 50 apartment units are proposed for 835 E. Canon Perdido St., around the corner. Ah, reportedly the site of the old dairy facility. There’s an article about it on Noozhawk.

Unlike some of the other reported possibilities for this location, this one seems to have some action. I walked by a few days ago and there were four or five people inside, apparently cleaning the place up and setting up the kitchen. We’ll see if they follow through!
