How I miss the Greek Orthodox Church ladies’ Moussaka. They out source the Moussaka now. I guess the young Greek women no longer carry on the tradition. I fell in love with Greek cuisine at age 10 because of these women’s amazing food, made with so much pride, care and love. I have the Ladies’ cookbook, so I make it at home a few times a year (it’s a lot of work and not as good as theirs). Regardless, the Greek Festival is a great time every year!

Yanni manages food at the Greek Festival. You can treat yourself to his great Gyros and fantastic Tri-Tip sandwiches year round at Yanni’s Mackenzie Market.

      Yeah, ok, I’m a fan…. (I remember the Plaka)
