After breaking the news on July 30, 2012 that Daily Grind was going to open a second South Coast location, the Restaurant Guy is happy to report that the popular espresso, juice and deli brand has opened at 2912 De La Vina Street, in the former long-time home of Taco Bell. The original Daily Grind was born on December 4th, 1995 at 2001 De La Vina Street. Yolanda and Jesus Gonzalez, along with Yolanda’s brother Louis Cuvilla purchased the property last year, gutted it and rebuilt it from the ground up. The new Daily Grind is open 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day, including Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Well anything will be better than that Taco Bell, which was terrible.

  2. Yahoo says:

If they rebuilt it from the ground up, why does it still look like a Taco Bell?

    • John Dickson says:

They rebuilt everything but the outside walls. Even the floor was replaced and new electrical was run to the street. The parking lot was completely regraded to meet ADA standards.
