This just in from reader Benjamin:

Went to the San Ysidro Ranch last night to try to hit Plow and Angel.  Was turned away.  Only info we could get was that someone had taken down the entire ranch for the weekend.  Someone taking down the Ranch for four nights, and them closing down the restaurants?  Who could it be?  Any ideas?

Perhaps Obama is spending 4th of July in SB? One would think he would crash on Oprah’s couch though, since they are such good friends.

According to: it looks like the POTUS will be spending his weekend at Camp David.

Of course for security reasons, they might not release plans to come out west (if he has any at all).

It could be Biden or another Head of State.

Sources tell me that the mystery person who rented out the entire San Ysidro Ranch for the 4th of July weekend was Gateway Computer founder Ted Waitt who married model/TV personality Michelle Merkin in a ceremony held that Saturday. Not confirmed.
