May 12, 2011 – Here are pictures from the new Cafe Stella restaurant (that opens tomorrow) at 3302 McCaw Ave (up the hill behind Gelson’s). The attention to detail inside and out is extraordinary. I tried the Prime Rib Sandwich – thinly sliced provence herb crusted roast prime rib & tomato cornichon relish. It was great. Cafe Stella seems to be really kid/family friendly, casual, affordable yet high quality. I think they will do very well.

Wow, I barely recognize the space! Looks good…I hope the curse of that location is broken.

My girlfriend and I were there Wednesday for the Soft Opening… wine & drinks are phenomenal! Highly recommend the Fried Artichoke app. We both had burgers (she had the chicken, I had the lamb). While the chicken was great, we both agreed the lamb was the winner. Great spot, awesome prices!

Out of this world. Epic service and food. My wife and I had the croque monsieur and baseball cut top sirloin respectivly. The croque monsieur was decadently rich, mornay sauce complimented the gryere and ham perfectly. Sirloin is an easy protein to ruin, not here, I asked for rare and it was RARE, still mooing I think (just the way it should be) and the peppered sear left an aftertaste that lingered all the way through my vodka martini. Brewhouse pricing with Palace service and Ruth’s Chris quality. If you try to stop me from ever going again, and ill break your face. 4 stars, amazing work Cafe Stella!
