104 Harbor Way
Santa Barbara, CA
Rating: 25 feet
Next to the boats in the Harbor, the Breakwater Restaurant lets you dine Santa Barbara-style. Relaxing with stunning views, at the Breakwater you feel you are at the center of the best of Santa Barbara.
My favorite time to come to the Breakwater is during the morning on Saturday or Sunday. Recently I had brunch with an order of two eggs (over hard), home potatoes, and toast.
After you have finished that seaside meal, you MUST go for a stroll along the breakwater. From this one location you can see the harbor, the beach, Stearns Wharf, the Santa Barbara Riviera, the Channel Islands and boats sailing by. Be sure to stop by the Maritime Museum just a few steps down the sidewalk or watch the workers unload the catch-of-the-day on the docks. If your sweet tooth is feeling deprived, you can get some Dreyer's ice cream at the walk-up window next the sushi cafe.
