Summerland Presbyterian Church's motto "Love Spoken Here" is actually written in stone at the entrance to the church. It serves as a constant reminder that in the love of Christ we are no longer strangers, but have become friends, each seeking a deeper personal relationship with God.

Summerland Presbyterian Church is committed to strengthening each other through the power of the Holy Spirit, and sharing Christ's love with our neighbors.

Summerland Presbyterian Church hearts and minds are open to any and all who wish to attend their intimate little church by the sea and be welcomed into a loving family of God.

Summerland Church was organized on July 14, 1901, as Bethany Presbyterian Church by 12 members, representing several denominations, but of one mind in our common faith. The church building was originally located on Banner Avenue, dedicated on October 27, 1901. The building was moved to its present site on the corner of Lillie Avenue and Valencia Road in 1910. Today, the church is open to many community groups and throughout the year, the fellowship hall is used by different organizations for meetings and by local Summerland School students.
