The Santa Barbara Vocal Jazz Foundation is dedicated to the education, preservation, performance, and development of Vocal Jazz as an art form.
About
The Santa Barbara Vocal Jazz Foundation was founded in 1998 and started sending VocalPoint into area schools in 1999 to perform instructive and entertaining shows. In 2003, education programs began in earnest with more intensive workshops and residencies. To date, more than 40,000 students have witnessed and/or participated in vocal jazz in their schools, and over 5,000 have experienced more in-depth study via the education programs.
