Shalhoob Meat Company has been family-owned and operated in Santa Barbara since 1973. Originating as a butcher shop, they supply local restaurants, hotels, and institutions with meats and related items. The family opened their Patio restaurant on in the property in 2017 then in 2019 the company announced their latest venture, the Shalhoob Beer Company. Started by father and son team John & LJ Shalhoob, the beer carries on the tradition of excellence the Shalhoob name stands for in this region.
Leading up to the launch, the Shalhoobs immersed themselves in the brewing culture, consulting with top brewers across California to gather information on what makes a good beer. With crowds flocking to their patio restaurant/brewery, the results of their hard work paid off.
Shalhoob Beer Company now has an official line of beers to enjoy. The lager, IPA, blonde, and pilsner flavors can be purchased on tap at the patio or in cans from retailers around Santa Barbara. Shalhoob Beer Company has created recipes that are drinkable all day, yet are full of exciting flavor that speaks to the Santa Barbara locals' inherent palate. The company spent countless hours tweaking them until they met the same Shalhoob standard that's been at the heart of their success.
