Old Spanish Days Fiesta

Santa Barbara's Old Spanish Days Fiesta is an annual community-wide 5-day festival that begins on the Wednesday before the first Friday in August. The first local Fiesta celebration was held in 1924.

The Fiesta Historical Parade is one of the largest equestrian parades in the United States and features floats depicting episodes from the history of the state and city.

Children's ParadeSaturday 10am, Free
Young people of Santa Barbara, their parents and other parade participants, don traditional costumes and celebrate the rich culture of the area.

El Mercado De la GuerraWednesday-Saturday 11am-11pm, Free
Stroll through a colorful Mexican market; feast on multi-cultural foods, shop for crafts and souvenirs and enjoy live entertainment all day and into the evening.

Stock Horse Show and RodeoThursday-Sunday, $
Enjoy Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association rodeo action with bull and bronc riding, steer wrestling plus local talent competing in mutton busting and stock horse classes at Earl Warren Showground's covered arena.

DIGS!Thursday 5-10pm, $
Gather at the hilltop of the beautiful Santa Barbara Zoo with local dignataries. Sample delicious finger foods and wine tasting, presented by local restaurants and wineries, and dance the night away.

Las Noches de RondaThursday-Saturday 8pm, Free
"Nights of Gaiety" is a favorite Fiesta tradition. A splendid variety show of music, singing, fiery flamenco from Spain, vivid Folklórico dances from many regions of Mexico.

Tardes de RondaSaturday 1pm, Free
This "Afternoon of Gaiety" children's variety show, held at the Sunken Gardens of the County Courthouse, is the junior version of Las Noches de Ronda.

Fiesta Arts and Crafts ShowSaturday-Sunday 10am-5pm, Free
A countywide gathering of artisans and crafts people display a wide variety of paintings, carvings, pottery, and other wares on the oceanfront near Stearns Wharf.
