You must visit this winery, even if you never go to another winery or actually prefer margaritas.  Come here at least once.

Those are strong words but we really fell in love with this place.  It has and does everything a winery should do and it does it very well. First of all, it's beautifully designed.  The mission style buildings really compliment the landscaping and give a genuine Santa Barbara feel to this vineyard. If you are lucky enough to get into the private tasting area, the sculptured walls and cave-like feel are enchanting.

Second, they are committed to organic and gentle production techniques.

Third, their wines are wonderful.  This was one of four wineries where every wine tasted became an instant favorite.

Fourth, their staff was knowledgeable and gracious.

Finally, they have a fabulous view of mountains, valley and river gorge.  The picnic spots are perfect for taking in the intimate canyon ambiance.

Directions:
Take the 101N to 246 and turn east.  Go through Solvang and drive until you reach Refugio Road.  Turn right and drive until you reach the signs for the vineyard.  The road is a bit twisting so be careful.
