Velvet Jones writes: Velvet Jones came to Santa Barbara in 2000 in an attempt to revitalize the music scene. Many years and over 1600 shows later we have been consistently voted Santa Barbara's best venue for live music and comedic entertainment. In 2005, glassblowing genius Ivan Rottmann outfitted Velvet Jones with a whole new look. With over 900 pieces of handblown glass and murals of music legends throughout the bar, Velvet Jones has established itself as a must see bar in Santa Barbara. With the help of bands like Evanescence, Hoobastank, Alien Ant Farm, Frank Black (to name a few) we will continue to set the standard for live music in Santa Barbara and look forward to many more years of serving your music and comedy needs.
