Paradise Cafe writes: Walking into the Paradise Bar is like stepping back into the 30's. The original barstools and back-bar, combined with the art-deco fixtures, give the bar an ambience which speaks to an earlier time in the history of downtown Santa Barbara. The full length mural over the bar depicts a famous Aztec legend, set in the site of present day Mexico City and pays homage to the Paradise Cafe's past history as a Mexican Restaurant.

The Paradise Cafe's bar features a top shelf well selection, five premium draft beers, and a constantly changing array of fine wines offered by the glass. The Paradise margarita is our signature drink, traditionally made on the rocks with Jose Cuervo Gold tequila.

The bar has been popular with Santa Barbarans for over 25 years for happy hour, casual bar counter dining or an amicable finish to that debate which began across the street at City Hall. Join us for weekday happy hour specials on drinks and appetizers.

Wine - The wine list at the Paradise Cafe is carefully chosen and prices accessibly. We have a strong representation on the finest of Santa Barbara County's wine growing region, as well as other domestic regions. There are also selections from some of the great traditional producers in the world, as well as from some of the newly emerging areas. In addition, we maintain a "Reserve" list which features some of the harder-to-get wines and some of the single vineyard varietals from small-production vintners. There are usually at least a dozen wines offered by the glass. We constantly change these selections, which gives our customers a chance to explore some interesting wines that they may not have otherwise experienced.
