Notes: The next-generation rover called the Mars Science Laboratory (MSL) is scheduled to land on Mars during October 2010. The current rovers, Spirit & Opportunity, are solar powered and weigh 400 lbs each. The MSL is nuclear powered and weighs 2,000 lbs.
