WORST TIME TO SPEND NEAR THE BEACH, 12/17/2009
Reviewer: Andrew P. from Santa Barbara, CA
I feel that Shoreline Cafe needs to take more time and careful consideration upon choosing their employees. In particular the servers. No smiles, or even any interest in our existence. I feel that they need to rethink on how they make thier bloody mary. They offer a "bloody Jerry" which does not suffice. People don't know what they like, they like what they know. Will not be returning to Shoreline any time soon.

Over @17.00 for coffee and 4 "alleged" tacos., 11/9/2009
Reviewer: chuck benwitt from Santa Barbara, CA
Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. Generally its been ok. However I ordered the tacos for breakfast What came out were four very small tortillas stacked on top of each other and buried under chopped cabbage. There were also three small containers with beans and salsa. I've eaten lots of tacos, which l love, but have never seen them served this way and at this price...no mas

One of My Favorite Restaurants, 7/17/2009

I live in Santa Barbara and love the Shoreline Cafe. The food is awesome with generous portions and is reasonably priced. Service is generally always good but can sometimes be slow when it gets real busy, but normally they account for that. Every out of town guest I have ever taken here insists on coming back when they are back in town. Its also a great place to unwind after a long day...with your bare feet in the sand, chips and guacamole and a tasty beverage of choice. GREAT JOB!!!

Perfect Day at Shoreline Beach Cafe, 5/24/2009

We had a casual dinner after our wedding at Shoreline Beach cafe. Enrique and his staff were amazing! They made it special and provided us with everything that we needed. They have an extensive menu and even though we had 25 people, we all were able to order whatever we wanted. The food is wonderful! Everyone loved the appetizers, drinks and meals. I highly recommend the Mojito and the mexican spring rolls- so delicious. Also, Enrique's staff even served our cake. We cannot say enough. Enrique worked with me before hand to make sure everything went smoothly. He always returned my calls. It started out as a rainy day and ended an amazing day at the Shoreline Beach Cafe. Not to mention, its right on the ocean; the view is absolutely magical. We will definitely dine here again... they made our wedding day complete because they have great food and the best service ever! Any day is a perfect day when you go to the Shoreline Beach Cafe!!!

Best of Everything in Santa Barbara!!!

I'm a "regular" at the Shoreline because I LOVE everything about it!! Their Salmon Salad is the Best lunch: and their Paloma Omelet, with spinach, is my favorite Sunday Brunch meal. Their service is ALWAYS OUTSTANDING, friendly and efficient! The view is always spectacular, with sail boat races, surfers, sail surfers, "flying" surfers, dolphins and, sometimes, whales. You can't beat it for a tranquil scene, after a day in my home-office, online Legal Nurse Consultaing business!! Shoreline Beach Cafe is my respite. I'm here every Friday afternoon and every Sunday morning, sometimes, more often than that, with friends, colleagues or business associates.

Great place!

Shoreline Cafe is my favorite all-around restaurant in Santa Barbara. The atmosphere can't be beat and the service has always been great. My favorite dish is the Baja fish tacos. The best in town. The mojitos are delicious too!

Great place to visit!

My family and I arrived around 3:30 on a Sunday afternoon for an early dinner. We were seated immediately. Our waiter came to our table within 5 minutes. Service was great! My son and I ordered the battered fish tacos. They were very good. I especially liked the special sauce. My husband and daughter had the seafood combo with fries. They both enjoyed their meals as well. Our waiter kept our soft drinks full and the view was worth the drive. We took a walk on the beach around the harbor after dinner. It's a nice place to go with your family. It seemed a little expensive. Our bill was $67.00, plus tip. I would definitely eat there again!

Great location. Very Good food. Atrocious Service.
Reviewer: Nancy Galwey from Arroyo Grande, CA
When we arrived for lunch we were seated after a very short wait by a gracious hostess. Our server, however, ignored us and did not take our order for 15 minutes. She neglected to bring us our drinks which were waiting at the bar. She never did bring us our water which we requested. When we ordered another drink, she did not bring this drink to us until I walked up to the bar where she was standing around. Then she said they were backed up, which was just untrue. Other than this one server, everthing was very nice. Ambience, food very good. Other servers friendly and efficient. She made our experience a negative one. We will probably try this restaurant again, but if we see her, we will walk out.

Amazing Tacos
Reviewer: Tyler Schwartz from Santa Barbara, CA
We come here constantly because you simply can't beat the combination of beautiful scenery, great food and quality service. The tacos are all very consistent and delicious. For the more health conscious, go with the fresh fish tacos. If you want to treat yourself to crunchy goodness, go with the Baja fish or shrimp. The chicken burrito is excellent too. We just tried the ahi pupu appetizer and it was great. The wasabi is hotter than most sushi places in town. The view is included in the drink prices so take that into account. This is the only place in town where you can eat with your feet in the sand.
