Outstanding! , 1/17/2013

We have been here twice recently to pick-up salmon and yellowtail to make our own sushi. The fish was incredibly fresh...melt-in-your-mouth fresh and perfect for making our own sushi! The owner and employees went out of their way to help us; even when they were very busy with restaurant customers, they took time to get the cuts of fish that we needed and packed it with ice so they would stay fresh for our drive back to Santa Ynez. We look forward to making a lot more sushi with their delicious sashimi-grade fish and appreciate their fantastic customer service.

Nikka has become my go-to lunch place in Goleta. Delicious healthy food on the menu and always interesting specials. I've been many times, but I still haven't been able to find a favorite; I like everything I've had. So I have to keep going back to try more things. Yum!

Had dinner a few days ago: Fresh oysters raw for appetizer. They wanted to cook them, we asked if they'd serve raw, and they did on a nice plate of crushed ice with lemon. Sweet meat and very good sizes. I had mixed fried bits with fries and the tempura-type batter was nice and light for $13. Husband had grilled halibut with fries ($13), the portion of halibut was on the reasonable side of small. With brown rice and a salad it would have been a true "healthy" plate. Friend had the ahi burger and it was HUGE, a huge slab of ahi, he enjoyed it, his wife had the steamed mussels ($8). Oh my goodness, I've never had such a light flavor and mussels done to perfection. A light sauce of white wine, little garlic and cilantro. Very enjoyable, we all thought the mussels were the star of all 4 dinners. Prices so reasonable too, we've found a new go-to place for great flavors that doesn't dent the wallet.

This is my favorite fish shop in the city....Goleta! The fish is always fresh, some nice local catches, a few Sushi grade fish and some lovely smoked Salmon all reasonably priced. Great shrimp, oysters, mussels and clams as well. The super nice guy behind the counter will fabricate, remove bones and pack your order up on ice for you, even give you cooking suggestions...wow! Pinch me!

Went to the Nikka Fish Grill for the first time last night and it was great. I had the ahi fish tacos with chipotle - really tasty. They were bustling but all of the wait staff / counter help was super helpful and friendly. Can't wait to go back.

A great fit I hope they stay a long time. The Seafood Combo I had was great. People are really friendly there. I hope to try more things on the menu. Sweet Potato fries option a nice touch over regular chips though I've had better in town(try IV Deli Mart!). Mac's would be a better fried fish I've had in town. Nice that Goleta has a fish place to go to now! I hope to be back!

This is a fantastic addition to the Calle Real Center in Goleta. The fish is very fresh and cooked in many different ways from tacos to grilled to order that are so tasty. Fresh side salads with delicious dressings. I hope they are a long-term success. They have made a great start. Also excellent service.

This is a great new spot, really fresh, healthy fish, nice Kobe beef burger and yummy veggies. Love the Halibut and sweet potatoes. We mostly get their food to go and it has been great every time. This location has turned over several restaurants and finally there is something really good there.
