I read an article over a year ago in the Santa Barbara News Press about a new place in Los Olivos that was selling wine inspired cupcakes. Loving sweets and wine I decided to check it out. To put it mildly, these are the best cupcakes that I have ever had! Each week there are new and delicious flavors to try. I have been there at least thirty times and have always left happy and thrilled with the different yet always yummy cupcakes (I always get the 'samlper.'). I have turned many of my friends on to these fantastic treats and all of them are as hooked as I am. Kevin and Amber are always so warm and friendly and now there is a second location in Solvang to sample their amazing creations. Keep up the great work and thank you very much!

I am a huge fan of cupcakes and think I know a thing or two about it. My favorites are Sprinkles in Beverly Hills and Dots in Pasadena. When the craze hit SB with Crush Cakes then Whodidly, I was excited about the prospect of saving myself a 100mi drive for some cupcakes. Sadly, we know how that turned out. I enjoyed Enjoy Cupcakes this past weekend along with a wine tasting at Saraloos and Sons tasting room. Wow, talk about a match made in heaven. I liked every flavor and the cake was really good, not dried out. My only complaint about Enjoy and really all the SB cupcakeries is how cheap they are with the sizes. I would gladly pay the $4 for a Sprinkles jumbo cake than $2-3 for these little sample sizes. Though, I understand women like this because they can try more flavors. *shrug*. Personally, I think it's a clever way of charging more and giving less.

I cannot believe how fantastic this place is, every bite is perfection. I wish they would come down here to Santa Barbara because they would for sure make all of our other cupcake spots need to step up their game. I recommend getting the "flight" as well, which is one of each mini flavor and having it with the wine pairings. I so cannot wait to go back, I will even drive the up there next time I need a cupcake fix before I go to any of the places near home. Perfect service and perfect cupcakes.

In addition to individual cupcakes, they offer a "flight" of 6 mini-cupcakes paired with the wine tastings at the Saarloos tasting room-- the first cupcake goes with the first wine being poured, and so on. All 6 cupcakes were delicious, and the cupcake / wine tasting combo is a truly unique experience. I can't wait to go back.

I have been to every single "cupcakery" down here in Santa Barbara and couldn't quite find the type of cupcake I could really enjoy; they were either too dry, too colorful, just blah, etc... Which is sad because cupcakes are my absolute favorite treat. So I decided to go on a mini-adventure and find Enjoy Cupcakes and wow, I was not disappointed. They are PERFECT. I took home a box of every mini flavor they had for sale and these are seriously some of the best sweets I've had in a long time. Not to mention, the service was fantastic, something else I haven't been able to find locally. Very impressed, keep up the good work guys!

Dearest Amber Joy and Kevin! I am so very honoured that you would personally come to my Birthday party! You both are the "talk of the town"!!!, with your Delicieux Cupcakes straight from Heaven itself!!! Every single guest dreamt of eating your cupcakes and thank Goodness I gave them directions to your beautiful store! so I am a cupcake fanatic. I love them-simply;period. not a chef nor an expert. I just really like them. I have tasted cupcakes in New York, Los Angeles, Pasadena, Beverly Hills, San Diego, Boston, Montecito, Ventura, Los Angeles and of course Santa Barbara. Let me tell you Enjoy cupcakes has it. That secret something that you need in a cupcake that no one can identify what it really is that makes it taste sooooooooooo good. They have nailed it. Coodooos to you. They are really amazing. Crush cakes dry-this one- way above the bar.....not even in the same category......

Great food and Nice people here, they are made daily so once they are gone they are gone. I believe at the time of this writing they are close to getting a credit card machine going else its just cash.
In a small corner of the Saarlos & Sons tasting house, on the west side of Grand near 154. They change up their menu daily but apparently always have the Chocolate Blackberry Syrah. Better in my opinion than Whodidly in flavor, have not tried crushcakes to compare. These cupcakes are for those in search of frosting infused cupcakes as opposed to just frosting on the top or more organic options. They also make mini size cupcakes of the same flavor, be nice if they could have better containers though as my minis kind of stuck together/fell over in the box as the frostings are pretty sticky and stuck together.

Wow! I honestly couldn't think of any other way to start a review of Enjoy Cupcakes.
The cupcakes here are phenomenal. It seems like cupcake stores are the new frozen yogurt (a new one on every corner in Santa Barbara) but this place is heads and shoulders better than the others I've tried. I had 3 different cupcakes when I went (first I ordered one, ate it on the porch, decided I needed another, ate that, then realized I owed it to myself to try a third) and every one of them was great.
For one, the cake itself is dense and moist - it really gives you something to sink your teeth into. The frosting was perfect - not too much (I hate it when cupcake places put 4" of frosting on top) and just the right flavor and consistency. The biggest mistakes other cupcakes places seem to make are either making their frosting too sweet or making it too greasy (maybe they use Crisco so it doesn't melt over the course of the day?). The frosting here seemed to be made of real butter and had great flavor. It had a complexity and depth of flavor that other places seem to be lacking.
In most of the cupcakes there is a small scoop taken out of the top so a filling can be added. Sometimes this is a creamy peanut butter (in the PBJ cupcake I had) or vanilla caramel with sea salt (by far the best dessert I've ever had). This is NOT frosting - it's always something else to compliment the frosting and cake.
Finally, the best compliment I can pay is this - I recently drove all the way from Santa Barbara to Los Olivos JUST to get cupcakes here. That's the best endorsement I can possibly give this restaurant.
Now...when will they open a store in Santa Barbara?

We tried the cupcakes (mandarin orange) while in Los Olivos wine tasting. The one we had was very good. The rest all looked very good. The tasting room is going to close when they run out of wine, so I guess the cupcakes will be available from the trailer in front.

We got a sampler of their mini cupcakes, wow! they were delicious! I have been to most all of the SB/Montecito cupcake shops and this one is by far the best! Very creative with the flavors - my favorite was the ginger-lime & the creme brulee!
